F-201 This is the original V-201: THE NATURE AND PROTECTION OF PRIMARY PROPERTY
An ideological “museum piece” first presented live in Fall 1964. This version is presented in all its 12-session brevity plus the 4-session Primary Bookkeeping Seminar. This course stands in relationship to the more recent V-201 presentations in the same manner as the original 1903 Wright Brothers’ “Flyer” does to the modern jetliner. The more recent aeroplanes fly higher, faster,
longer, and more smoothly and produce more market support. But they both fly, and the original design is just as correct, in principle, as its descendants. F-201 may be taken only by graduates of the longer version of V-201.

Stabilized durable growth is more easily developed by an individual than freedom — which is a universal concept. To approach stabilized durable growth within the individual not only helps the onset of a stable and durable society with freedom as a by-product, but it achieves a higher quality pursuit of happiness now. A challenging new development in volitional science.

* This course was scheduled for presentation during the Spring 1962 semester. However, because of Mr. Heath’s advanced age, his sudden health failure, and his subsequent death, this course was never actually presented, and all advance tuition payments were refunded. The Institute is preserving this course number as a tribute to and in memory of the late Spencer Heath.

All courses of THE FREE ENTERPRISE INSTITUTE carry the basic prerequisites of curiosity and rationality.

Courses preceded by the letter “P” refer to courses in the physical science faculty.
Courses preceded by the letter “B” refer to courses in the biological science faculty.
Courses preceded by the letter “V” refer to courses in the volitional science faculty.
Courses preceded by the letter “S” refer to courses in the subvolitional science faculty.
Courses preceded by the letter “C” refer to courses in the communications faculty.

Courses preceded by more than one letter (such as “PBVS”) refer to courses which encompass more than one science.

For courses which encompass all the faculties: P, B, V, S, and C, the symbol Φ has been substituted for brevity.

Many of the Institute’s advanced courses are preceded by the Greek letter Φ (phi) which refers to the totality of knowledge or total physics as distinct from the P- designation which refers to the classical physics of the non-living part of the universe. For example: the Institute’s basic course in physics is P-100/101. This is classical physics. Because physics is expanded far beyond the classical
domain in Φ-102, the designation Φ is now used. The concept that all knowledge is physics or it is not knowledge at all is unique to the Institute.

The designation P.I. refers to post-integration, the time elapsed since Isaac Newton’s publication of Principia Mathematica in the year 1687 (Christian Era). This positive designation by Professor Galambos is intended to replace the mystical basis and nomenclature of the past history of man and to establish a rational calendar, with each new year beginning on the vernal equinox. It should also be noted that the naming of days, weeks and months, etc., will follow the same rational reasoning.

The Institute’s standard guarantee, which is reprinted below, applies to each course  (except Φ-OEC, Φ-OESC, Φ-BFSC, and V-231 which have separate guarantees disclosed to those enrolled).

IF, AFTER HEARING EVERY SESSION OF THIS COURSE IN ITS ENTIRETY, YOU DO NOT AGREE THAT YOU RECEIVED BOTH YOUR TIME’S WORTH AND YOUR MONEY’S WORTH, YOUR TUITION WILL BE REFUNDED IN FULL. THIS, OUR STANDARD GUARANTEE, REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE FINAL SESSION OF THE COURSE AND SEMESTER IN WHICH YOU ORIGINALLY WERE ENROLLED. REFUNDS, UPON REQUEST, ARE PAYABLE PURSUANT TO THE GUARANTEE IN ALL INSTANCES EXCEPT WHERE AN ENROLLEE HAS NOT PAID HIS OWN TUITION IN FULL.
